| It is officially the final week of classes and thus the week before finals... Where did all the time go? The good news is I have about half the amount of classes as I normally would this week. The bad is that I still have to do the final work for them for next week, but I keep telling myself that since they aren't due till next week, I still have time to finish them...yeah well thats keeping me calm now, but as the week progresses into next...who knows what might happen. But as of next Wednesday at 3:15, I will unofficially be on Summer Break! By unofficially I mean that I have to stay thru Sunday to work Graduation But next year I won't have to work graduation because I will be graduating! May 7, 2006. For those of you who don't know, that happens to be my lovely little sister's 21st birthday as well...hahaha she has to come see me graduate instead of going out....HAHAHAHAHA
Where was I? Oh yeah, the list of things standing between me and break
Revise and resubmit my microessays by Wednesday (not required but I already started the process by going to talk to him about them and he thinks I am rewriting them so I guess I am...it will get me better grades on them and as such a better grade in the course)
Then from there I can finish my photo portfoilio and matte them (Due Tueday 26th at 9AM)
Take home test for Enviornmental Politics (3 pages single spaced due Monday 25th by 5 PM)
Final Conflict Paper from hell where I have to write about a conflict and solve it...I think...he didn't give us any guidelines for it (15 pages double spaced sent in by email by next Tuesday)
My only actual test is next Wednesday at 1:15 and he will be giving us the questions in advance and the test is open note/book/whatever...we can write the test before hand but we need to rewrite it during the test time in a blue book.
Man I didn't realize the quantity of stuff I need to do... This is gonna suck.

| Well, its been a while since I've updated this so I'll start with some stuff that I've been meaning to put in here. Easter. I didn't go home for the whole weekend because my sister, Ashley, came down to visit that Friday because low and behold she had the day off. So she got here and she was hungry, and I wasn't because I had ate while I was waiting for her. She had said that she would come down and be here by the time I got out of class at 2 and she wasn't here till 4:30 or so. Anyway, to kill time we went and got the supplies for a beer bong. At Lowe's (since I have a gift card for there) we found tubing that would work, but when we asked about the funnels, they showed us where they were and the one that they had was too small. The guy that showed us where they were commented that they needed bigger funnels because you know this is a college town...How did he know what we wanted the funnel for? Maybe we needed to put oil or something into my car and thats why we needed the funnel. He just jumped to the conclusion that we were a bunch of drunks. And I can't rememeber if it was at Walmart (where we found the appropriate funnel) or still at Lowes, but there were these two creepy older Mexican guys that passed us in the aisle and gave us a weird smile made a comment like "Hey hows it going?" or something like that. It was just strange...something you don't get every day. Anyways, we got our stuff and then by that time Ashley was practically begging me to go eat since she was STARVING so we went to Ruby Tuesday's so we could see Dan and sit in his section. After we left there I spent an exorbant (well maybe not exorbant but still quite a lot) amount of money on alcohol and then later we went over to Dan's apartment to party! I stayed relatively sober, but my sister was the life of the party, as always. She made use of that beer bong that we bought quite a bit. Dan too, as well as some of our friends. I, however, do not like beer so I stuck with my girlie beverages and maintained composure and poise .
I went home on Saturday and missed the Arizona-Illini game because I went to see Ice Princess with my mom and Ashley. Jimmy didn't want to go because he said it was a chick flick. It was good even though it was predictable, and as a Disney movie, they left it open at the end for a possible sequel. I won't go into details for all you that are still dying to see it . Then Easter Sunday...didn't go to church and slept in. We got our tradtional Easter baskets (yes I still get one ) We had our Easter meal early so my dad was able to eat since he had to work at 5, but after we ate the fun started. Last year we made the comment that we missed when they "hid" (most of which were in plain view) Easter eggs for us...well this year they hid them again for us downstairs. They actually HID them! I mean they were under the couch, inside different decorative things we have...it was actually hard! I've always liked the light eggs cause they have cash in them and this year was no exception. I know I might be a little old for an Easter egg hunt at 21, but my sister is nearly 20, and my brother, 13, but it was great being a kid again...and since we had to find the same kind of eggs it was a big competition between the three of us. The icing on the cake was after we found all the eggs, I punched Ashley in the nose. I don't know how it got started...I think she was making fun of my karate moves or something and we started to fake spar and she didn't block and as a consequence she got punched. Not my fault.
Now recently...I won at poker on Thursday! I play with the guys almost every Thursday and I'm actually getting pretty good...I'm usually never the first one out. We started to play at 9:30 and played two games. There were 8 of us each game and so the pot each time was $40...$35 for first place and $5 for second. I got out about halfway in the first game...I kept getting crappy hands with unmatching low number cards each time. The second game Dan was the first one out and I got a lot of face cards, well a lot more often than the previous game. I was actually holding my own. When it got to about 2 AM and we were still playing...there were 3 of us left and then Evan went out and it was just me and this other guy. It looked like he was gonna win cause he had a lot more chips than I did, but I think it was more of an illusion cause they were all low chips. Anyway, it was getting late and I started playing stupid. Dan came in and asked if he could play a hand for me...I agreed and he won it. Since I was tired anyway, he took over for the last part of the game while the guy I was playing withs brother dealt and I shuffled the cards. So I had help winning in the end so I gave Dan his $5 buy in back but I kept the other $30 that I won...I am so proud of myself! I've never won at poker before. It was a good thing I won too because I went over there with $11, and with 2 games, had I not won I would have only had $1 left so I actually left with more than I started with. I hope I do as well this Thursday. Ok thats enough for now...I've over rambled and I didn't think that I would have typed this much and I really need to go over to the art building and put some quality time in the darkroom, so until next time....
| This was in my sister's Xanga and when I read it, I just had to put it in mine...the more guys know the better:
10 Things Women Need to Hear
99% of all women have ten things in common. They all want to hear the man in their life say the following ten sentences:
- "You're beautiful." She may not look like Nicole Kidman, but you should make her feel like Nicole Kidman. Don't just tell her she's beautiful when she's dressed up. Tell her first thing in the morning, or during a quiet moment when she's reading the newspaper.
- "You're a great lover." If you're lucky enough to have a woman who truly is a Professor of the Kama Sutra, good for you. Make sure you tell her how great her skills are. But if you'd like your woman to try something new, preface it by saying how great she is in bed already.
- "You're so smart." Studies have shown that in elementary school, girls begin to develop the belief that they shouldn't be smarter than the boys in the class. Most women get over this, but a little residual of this grade school lesson lurks around in the back of their minds. Be sure to tell her how much you value her greatest asset-her mind.
- "You're my best friend." Your woman wants to be your lover, but she also wants to be your friend. If your relationship is to last, this should be the truth, not just something you tell her.
- "You're the most important thing to me." Maybe you work late nights at the office. Maybe you like spending Saturday nights with the guys. Just make sure she knows she outranks everything.
- "I would never lie to you." And make sure this isn't a lie!
- "I have never cheated on you." Jealousy rears its ugly head from time to time. Make sure your woman knows she has no reason to suspect you.
- "I'd be lost without you." A woman wants to know (as Elvis sang), that you don't just want her and love her, you also NEED her.
- "You're funny." The couple that laughs together stays together. Let her know you'd rather hang out with her than Chris Rock any day.
- "I love you." These three words are often the hardest for men to say. But there's nothing a woman would rather hear.

| OK...I vowed it would never EVER happen...and it did. I thought it was a pointless waste of time and a procrastination device and as such I did not want to conform. Unfortuantely, it happened. Illinois Wesleyan has now had Facebook for a week, and I broke down and joined...at first to only see who else was on, but then I made a profile, and started friending (is that a word?) people and joining groups. What's strange is that people started to friend me out of the blue, some of which I have not talked to since high school. I won't even recognize the name when I get the message to confirm that they are indeed my friend, even if they aren't really a friend, they are just a distant cyberfriend that when u friend them it looks like you are popular because you have all these friends at different schools from all over the place. Anyone who has facebook knows what I am talking about...(Sorry Jill...maybe you'll get it one day...)
I have to say that I need a picture, but I don't want any random picture...I want a good one..so that is a goal that I have for Spring Break next week...find or take a good picture to put onto my facebook account, and possibly my Xanga too...the lightning bolt is getting kind of old. I also have to say that I have found that I am only addicted to Facebook when I happen to sign on to confirm random and not so random friends. I swear to myself everytime I sign on that its only to confim not to search for people or join groups, but it always happens that I do. Take tonite for example...I'm supposed to read a chapter from this particular book and I haven't gotten very far...damn Facebook distractions....Enough Facebook ramblings....for now at least
On a side note...I really think that we need to make a t-shirt...we were talking about our heritages at chapter tonite and Sippy brought up Polish since today was Casmir Pulaski Day...a great holiday that got us out of school 1 day for 13 yrs...and I mentioned that my ancestors came from all Eastern Europe countries...Poland, Czechoslovakia, and Lithuania. She's all Eastern Europe too and said that we come from countries that have been conquered or were communist. So we want to make a tshirt that says "Our Countries were Conqured!" It was quite amusing....Ok well I want to get to bed at a decent hour tonite, and I still have to put my laundry away AND finish reading this chapter...its gonna be another long night.
